Zoe Ball has apologised for pulling out of her BBC Radio 2 show yesterday morning (April 4).
The broadcaster sparked concern after her unexpected absence on Monday. First of all she was running late for her breakfast show, which normally starts at 6.30am.
Travel reporter Richie Anderson covered for her until she took the reins back at around 6.50am. It was revealed that she was running late due to having a flat tyre.

However, Richie later explained that she had gone home as she wasn't "feeling too well". He took over once more at around 7.30am as he explained: "I'm Richie Anderson and I'm in because Zoe's not feeling too well unfortunately. So she's had to go home which means you're stuck with me. We are sending Zo loads of love."
Richie continued to present until 8.30am before Ken Bruce came on air an hour before his scheduled slot. Zoe thanked listeners for their support as she later took to Twitter to explain that the flat tyre incident had more of an effect on her than she had thought.
She wrote: "Apologies for this morning gang, tyre went on the way in to work. I was so keen not miss the show, dashed in and hadn't quite realised the effect it'd had on me.
"I'm ok. Thanks for the lovely messages. Big thanks to Richie and Ken for stepping in. Will be back tomorrow xx"
The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show runs from 6.30am until 9.30am, with the host due to present the entirety of the radio programme tomorrow following her absence earlier. Zoe referred to the flat tyre incident as a "bit of drama" when she appeared on the radio show this morning, prior to colleague Richie taking back over by around 7.30am.
