New Orleans Pelicans' star player, Zion Williamson, was sidelined for the team's recent matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to a bruised left finger. Williamson, who leads the Pelicans in scoring with an average of 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, sustained the injury while attempting to block a shot in a previous game against the Orlando Magic.
Despite this setback, Williamson has managed to maintain good health throughout most of the season, participating in 65 out of the team's 76 games so far. His absence on the court against the Spurs left the Pelicans in a challenging position, especially since they were already missing their second-leading scorer, Brandon Ingram, who averages 20.9 points per game.
