Zendaya recently made a stunning appearance at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The actress opted for a throwback look, donning boyfriend jeans and a sheer, silver corset from Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Spring Summer 2020. Styled by image architect Law Roach, Zendaya accessorized with a dramatic silver choker, silver cuffs from Bulgari, and layered silver belts. She completed her ensemble with white pointy-toe heels, deviating from the runway look which featured clear platform heels. Zendaya also sported a flipped-out bob hairstyle, a departure from her previous relaxed curls.
At the Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Zendaya chose a Roberto Cavalli gown from the Spring Summer 2011 collection. The gray sleeveless open-back silk chiffon crocodile print dress featured fringe details and a plunging neckline, creating a flowing effect as she walked the carpet. Once again, she accessorized with arm bangles from Bulgari, including several Serpenti designs.
These fashion statements come on the heels of Zendaya being named a co-chair of the upcoming Met Gala, scheduled for May 6. Alongside Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya will lead the event with a dress code themed 'The Garden of Time.' The gala, to be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will pay homage to the Costume Institute's exhibit, 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.'
