Zendaya has unfortunately lost her voice while promoting Dune: Part Two, leading to a missed appearance on Good Morning America. The Emmy winner, known for her role as Chani in the upcoming film, sent a heartfelt video message apologizing for her absence due to illness.
In the video shared on Instagram, Zendaya expressed her regret for not being able to make it to the scheduled appearance, citing a complete loss of her voice. Despite her condition, she wished the GMA team a beautiful morning and hoped that viewers would enjoy the discussion about Dune: Part Two.
This incident occurred following Zendaya's attendance at the red carpet premiere of the film in New York City alongside co-stars Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler. The actress, who showcased another avant-garde outfit for the press tour, donned a white floor-length dress with a unique cut-out design.
While currently resting her voice, Zendaya had previously appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live with Chalamet, Butler, and Florence Pugh. During the show, she humorously recounted helping Chalamet set up his first apartment in New York City, describing the experience as needing to acquire essential items for daily living.
Despite her temporary setback, Zendaya remains active in her career, including her role as a co-chair for the 2024 Met Gala. Fans can anticipate her reprisal of the character Chani in Dune: Part Two, set to hit theaters on March 1.
