Zendaya's elevating her already iconic résumé with one of her most interesting ventures to date — a brand partnership with running shoe brand On. Fresh off the high from her Challengers press tour, which included a slew of tenniscore ensembles, the actress is joining tennis star Roger Federer as an ambassador for the Zurich-based company. The multiyear deal includes more than just relying on Zendaya as a muse, she'll be actively participating in important conversations, working on designs for future collections and produce creative campaigns to take the brand to a whole new level.
While it may seem like a clever move given Zendaya's latest role as Tashi Duncan, the star's connection to the brand is purely natural. "It's no secret that I've been a big fan of On for a long time," she confesses. "I'm always wearing them on set, or when I'm traveling, rehearsing or running around with my dog. So it's a full-circle moment to make this partnership official."
The Emmy Award winner and On debuted the new collaboration with a campaign entitled Dream Together. It starts with a short film directed by C Prinz designed to show how sport and movement is a connecting factor for people from diverse backgrounds. In the project, Zendaya is seen sitting in the bleachers of a track, the lights turned on and the camera pans to a group of people dressed in the brand's tank tops and track pants. They begin to move in harmony while the superstar proclaims various motivational phrases: "move, learn, dream, win, lose, fail." Finally, it ends with the words "dream together."
"We've been massive admirers of Zendaya's ability to inspire a generation and dream big," says David Allemann, On's cofounder. "This film is the beginning of more stories to come and we are eager to bring in new and distinctive voices alongside Zendaya to continue our mission to dream together."
