The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED will be landing soon, and here's where to pre-order the console.
After the most recent The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer, which showcased a bunch of new details you might have missed about the game, fans are more excited than ever to get their hands on the title. However, for those who have already pre-ordered the game and still want more, Nintendo has also announced a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED, launching on April 28, 2023.
Back at the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom mini Nintendo Direct, there was a boatload of new gameplay showcased, which we've been desperate for after the last titbit we got back in February. Alongside this showcase, we also saw an announcement of a brand new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED.
And it's not just a console; the company also revealed a Tears of the Kingdom-themed Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and Nintendo Switch carrying case which are launching on May 12, 2023, the same day that the game releases. Fans were so excited about the release that they overloaded the Nintendo Store site, which was down for hours.
The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED will retail for £319.99 / $359.99 / AU$549 which is the same cost as a standard Nintendo Switch OLED. The carry case comes in at £19.99 / $19.99 / AU$39.95 which is, again, the same price a standard carry case will set you back from Nintendo. The Pro controller on the other hand, costs more than a standard Pro controller coming in at £69.99 / $69.99 / AU$109.95.
Now you might be wondering why this design seems so familiar, and it's actually because it was leaked earlier this year, although it didn't convince many people at the time. It resurfaced again in February and gained a bit more credence, so fans were hoping for confirmation one way or another during the mini Nintendo Direct.
