A teenage girl was left seriously injured outside a Zara store at Cabot Circus in Bristol after being attacked by a group of youths despite reportedly entering the shop seeking safety, prompting criticism of the retailer's security response and sparking local protests.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday, 4 March, when the girl, believed to be in her mid‑teens, was chased around the shopping centre by a large group of young people before the assault took place on Philadelphia Street at around 7:45 p.m. The girl required hospital treatment following the attack, which was described by Avon and Somerset Police as sickening.
