Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson have shed light on their relationship – but it wasn't always happiness and romance for the pair.
Despite being one of the happiest couples in entertainment, the pair admit that they still face their challenges and cheeky chap Sam once left his girlfriend crying in a restaurant.
The couple who have teamed up with Hotels.com to play matchmaker and launch Cuffing Season often share an insight into their relationship with fans on social media but insist they still have their boundaries.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Mirror, the couple reflected on their first-weekend break with one another, enjoying a trip to Champney's Spa.
Sam, 30, said: "I remember it very well, Zara basically forced me to ask her out, she was like 'Are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend?'"
"I mean, I thought we'd gone on a romantic spa weekend, it was a perfect time," quipped Zara, 25.
However, this hadn't crossed Sam's mind, as he explained: "I didn't have that mindset, I just thought 'This is really nice, we're just on a really nice trip'.
"We were having dinner and she went 'Are you going to ask me out or are we just going to sit here?' originally, I was taken aback and went 'No, I'm not' and I saw her get upset.
"I thought 'to be fair, I do want to be with her, I'm now just being stubborn'."
Zara laughed: "I was just crying," while Sam added that it was "all happily ever after."
The couple went on to say that they had previously "cuffed" before deciding that they were going to make their relationship official.
While they joke they're not official matchmakers, Sam said: "I've realised, it's flowers when they don't expect it, that's the main thing, if they do expect it, it's not that much of a big deal."
But, while Sam "brings the humour" to their relationship, Zara is the romantic one, who is "thoughtful", she explained before Sam revealed she "loves a handwritten card".
In order to maintain their happiness in the bedroom, Sam revealed that he's put a "pillow barrier" in between them when they go to bed, explaining: "I like to hug things but I like to hug things on either side, it's not just a barrier, I pre-empted the fact that I'm going to want to hug a pillow there.
"I don't even see her head," Sam joked while Zara quipped that they're "basically like two singles".
Discussing the campaign which will see several couples win a break away, Sam said: "You've got to message hotels.com/cuffingseason with the three best things you like to do on a trip, you'll be in with a chance to be sent to one of five countryside retreats."
