A Zambian football fanatic has told how Frankie Musonda is making Ayr United big in Africa.
Charles Chibaala, a law graduate from the small town of Monze, has gained cult status online for his passionate posts about his new found love of The Honest Men.
And he's told how Musonda's Somerset signing is helping to inspire a surge of African support for Lee Bullen's side.
Charles, 32, told the Ayrshire Post: "I love my football and especially the Zambian national team.
"We already have Fashion Sakala in Scotland playing for Rangers and I've been lucky enough to meet him before.
"But I think Frankie Musonda is amazing and I was very impressed with him when he made his debut for our country.
"He has the potential to be a legend for us and is a very calm and assured player.
"When I saw he had signed for Ayr United, I started to do some research on the club and loved everything about it.
"I come from a small town of similar size and love the idea of supporting a club like Ayr from afar.
"I have been getting lots of good feedback to my posts on Facebook and it is very humbling.
"I just do what I love – and Ayr United is one of the things I love."
Charles, who posts regularly on the club's official Facebook account and the 'Ayr United Fans UK and beyond' page, is now a popular name among fellow supporters.
His posts include detailed analysis on past and future games – despite living almost 8,000 miles away.
He laughed: "The reaction has been pretty special. I think people can see how passionate I am about the team already.
"Barry Cowan, who runs the UK and beyond page, has been instrumental in keeping me involved so far.
"I started the hashtag #Ineedareplica on the club's page because I am desperate to get my own Ayr top to wear here in Zambia, and I'm hoping that gets sorted soon!
"I'm not the only one in Zambia who has started following the club since Frankie signed and I'm sure the club will become very popular here.
"It would be my ultimate dream to come and watch Ayr play one day in Scotland and cheer on the team in person."
