NEW DELHI: PCB chief Zaka Ashraf, in an effort to rectify his earlier comment, indirectly labeling India as an 'enemy nation', said the warm reception that the Pakistan cricket team received upon their arrival in India, highlights the deep affection fans on both sides of the border hold for the players.
Pakistan arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday in their first visit to India in seven years.
On the same day, the PCB announced an increase in pay for its players. Following the announcement, Ashraf stated that the raise in central contracts would offer added motivation to the players as they head into the World Cup in 'enemy country'.
