Zak Hardaker insists he has no idea whether he will be at Leeds Rhinos next year as his contract draws closer to expiration. Hardaker, who returned to the Rhinos midway through the season, signed a short-term contract that expires at the end of the year.
Since his arrival, the England international has been a regular in Rohan Smith's side and among the top performers most weeks. The 30-year-old has emerged as the club's first-choice fullback and has made no secret of his desire to stay at the club beyond his current contract.
But for now, he insists there has been no talk with the club about his future and is unsure whether he will be at Headingley or not next season.

"Mate, I'd love to stay," he said. "Get asking Gary (Hetherington) and we'll see. But honestly, I've not heard anything. Obviously, it has been well documented that the salary cap is quite full so I've got nothing to say, honestly. I just have to keep up training and working hard.
"I'm really happy being here, I'd like to stay if we can work something out but at the moment nothing has been sorted so I just keep playing and hope it works out."

But to be honest, it's something I relish because it gets me out of bed every day and puts an extra spring in my step because if I don't perform I won't be signed or not on as much money as I would like to get. It's in my hands but I have to do what I do week in, week out. I'm certainly enjoying it here, so we'll see how it goes."
