In the newest trailer for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil, unsuspecting protagonist Bryan finds himself trapped in an isolated house with a zombie on his tail. His only defense is an unloaded double-barrel shotgun, and he spends most of the trailer hunting for bullets as his flesh-hungry foe closes in.
It’s a terrifying moment that perfectly captures just how far out of his element Bryan is. It’s also a delightful bit of fanservice for Resident Evil fans, and the focus Cregger puts on it shows he’s done his homework.
