Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and right tackle La’el Collins had an interesting sideline exchange during the team’s “Sunday Night Football” clash with the Baltimore Ravens.
After a failed fourth-down attempt on an eight-plus minute drive that went more than 70 yards downfield, Taylor was seen tugging on Collins’ jersey and stopping him for a chat.
Naturally, social media caught the moment and blew it up to a major degree. The problem was, early clips of the encounter have just about zero context, so it’s hard to draw any major conclusions.
For now, barring a surprise, it’s just a standard football interaction after a key play in a professional game. Anything beyond that idea is working on assumptions and guesswork, though Taylor will certainly be asked about it soon.
