Tottenham duo Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster are now on their flight back to England following their isolation period in South Korea after testing positive for Covid-19. Departing for the Far East ten days ago for the club's pre-season tour of the country, the new signings were unable to feature for the Lilywhites in their first two pre-season friendlies of the summer.
Korean entry requirements dictate that you must perform a Covid test before departure to the country and then a PCR test within 72 hours of arriving in South Korea. The entire Tottenham squad underwent both tests but both Bissouma and Forster's tests on Tuesday last week returned positive results.
The pair subsequently had to isolate in the team hotel for seven days and crucially missed out on valuable training and playing time with their new teammates. However, both were allowed fitness equipment in their room to help maintain their fitness levels when isolating.

With the rest of the Tottenham squad departing for the UK on Sunday, Bissouma and Forster took off from Seoul mid-afternoon local time on Tuesday after their extended stay in the country. Given Monday off following their long flight, the Tottenham squad, including new signings Djed Spence and Clement Lenglet, were back at Hotspur Way today to resume their pre-season preparations.
Both Bissouma and Forster will link up with the squad on Wednesday, something Antonio Conte made clear in his post-match press conference after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Sevilla.
"Yeah, he [Ben Davies] finished the game with a bit of pain in his ankle. Honestly I hope that’s nothing serious," he said about Davies' ankle injury. "The rest of the team is okay. We have still Bissouma and Fraser with Covid but next week, on Wednesday, they will come in London and start to work with us.
"The others are in good physical condition. Perisic I think and I hope in the next game against Glasgow to give him 20 or 30 minutes."
Both Bissouma and Forster could make their Tottenham debuts this weekend when they take on Rangers at Ibrox. Spurs then face Roma in Israel a week later in their final pre-season friendly of the summer.
