YouTuber PewDiePie is expecting his first child with his wife Marzia Kjellberg.
The famed Swedish internet star - real name is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg - announced the news on all of his social media channels on Sunday (February 5), racking up an eye-watering 680,000 views on YouTube in one hour.
PewDiePie, 33, shared a montage of clips with his fans showing the couple finding out they were going to be parents, reading their positive pregnancy test, and going for their first baby scan which they then also shared with his 111 million followers.
The couple appeared blissfully happy as they shared a series of images of Italian Marzia's developing bump in the clips.
The news comes after PewDiePie was dogged by controversy last year when he was forced to apologise after uploading a video that appeared to depict him mocking a deaf woman using American Sign Language.
The move saw him attract heavy criticism - however, he claimed he had 'no clue' the woman was deaf and that he had made an 'honest mistake' and only intended to mock the length of her fingernails.
The video - posted under the title My Dog Cringes at TikToks - sees PewDiePie sharing clips from various social media videos that he then makes fun of.
In one clip, which has since been removed, deaf TikToker Scarlet May is seen telling a story in American Sign Language, PewDiePie stops the footage after a few seconds and says: "No, I'm not listening to this."
He is then seen mocking Sacrlet's nails and comparing them to his dog's claws, before picking up the dog and reenacting Scarlet's storytelling using her paws to recreate the hand movements.
Scarlet then responded to the video admitting she felt it was 'very weird and very unnecessary'.
PewDiePie was then ridiculed for his actions with YouTube and Twitter users sharing the clip to call him out for his behaviour.
One user wrote: "Not Pewdiepie making fun of a deaf woman???"
Another questioned: "So why is nobody talking about PewDiePie making fun of a deaf black woman?"
A third wrote: "Pewdiepie mocking a deaf TikTok creator for signing in her videos simply because she has long nails…as if the dude couldn't be any worse."
A fourth social media user posted: "Honestly if you still like PewDiePie grow tf up. not only is he racist, he's now apparently mocking a deaf girl on TikTok who is using sign language."
Scarlett addressed the issue in a response video. She said: "He made a reaction video to my TikTok, making fun of my nails and making fun of my signs with his dog...
"So how do I feel? I feel like it was very weird and very unnecessary but at the same time I wasn't surprised, I'm used to it."
