YouTuber Markiplier is set to attend the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, 2026, after receiving an official invitation. Markiplier, whose real name is Mark Fischbach, shared the news on his Distractible podcast earlier this month. Even though he was not nominated or presenting an award this year, the invitation allows him to join the star-studded event as a guest.
Photos have also appeared online showing seating placards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with one card listing “Markiplier” alongside a headshot of the popular YouTuber. This confirms that he will be among the attendees at Hollywood’s biggest night for films. Markiplier fans are thrilled to see him attend the event, which honors the best films of the past year.
