YouTuber Karl Jobst has taken legal action against gaming personality Billy Mitchell, accusing him of defamation. The lawsuit was brought before a US court on April 8, 2026. According to Jobst, Mitchell defamed him by making untrue statements about him, damaging his reputation, his career, and his financial status. Since Jobst runs a YouTube channel with over one million subscribers, he says trust is very important for his career.
In the lawsuit, Jobst also claims that Mitchell used his name and image without permission and caused him emotional stress. He says the repeated statements made by Mitchell made people lose trust in him. Accordingly, Jobst thinks that his listenership and earnings have been significantly impacted by these allegations.
