Youtuber Mr Beast has revealed that he was invited on the Titanic submarine voyage.
The online creator took to his Twitter account to share a message from one of the five voyagers who paid up to £195,000 a ticket and were confirmed dead after a "catastrophic implosion."
Following the news of the voyagers' tragic deaths, Mr Beast wrote:"I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it," and shared a text message.
The message read: "Also, I'm going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The crew would be stoked to have you along."
Fans were shocked at the eerie post from the Youtuber and took to the comments to share their thoughts.
One wrote: "The universe said 'not today Mr Beast, you're meant to make videos.'"
"From here on out thank god harder each morning for each day you have," a second put.
"I don’t think your team would’ve green lit it even if you said yeah after all the safety checks you mentioned happen before a video like the Antarctic one you did," a third added. "It’s still crazy to think $1 submarine vs $1000000 submarine could have happened if didn’t have a safety team."
The submarine, named Titan, departed at 6am on Sunday with five passengers on board but the vessel went missing 12,000ft below sea level 435 miles south of St John's, Newfoundland, Canada, after an hour and a half into the Titanic wreckage journey.
It suffered a structural failure close to the ill-fated liner, which lies 12,500ft from the surface of the sea bed.
The Titanic tourists on board died instantly, experts have said.
The men - three of whom were British - set off filled with hope and adventure to the cursed Titanic, but their loss has cast a shadow of grief over the entire community.
