Two youths were stabbed in a fight on a DLR train with one left in a life threatening condition.
Officers were called to Cutty Sark DLR station to reports of the violence at around 5.30pm on Sunday.
They believe the stabbing came after a fight broke out between four people, while they were travelling between between Greenwich and Cutty Sark station - where both the two victims and two suspects got off.
A 16-year-old suffered what is thought to be a severe wound to the hand, and a 15-year-old a life-threatening, or life-changing, injury to the thigh.
They were rushed to hospital by ambulance and Cutty Stark was closed by authorities.
Photos on social media show a heavy police presence outside the station on Sunday night.
