YourRage claims Kai Cenat retired from streaming to pursue movies

A new clip from YourRAGE has sparked fresh debate about Kai Cenat’s future on Twitch. During a casual conversation, the streamer claimed Kai has already stepped away from streaming to pursue a movie career. Both creators are members of AMP.

The moment came during a conversation about how many Twitch subscribers Kai Cenat could reach this year, when YourRAGE shuts down the idea and tells viewers that Kai is “done” with streaming.

Did Kai Cenat retire from streaming?

Kai Cenat has not confirmed his retirement from streaming, but he has not streamed on Twitch since Oct. 1, 2025. On Jan. 12, fellow AMP member YourRAGE claimed on stream that Cenat is “done” with streaming and plans to move into movies.

In the viral snippet, YourRAGE tells chat that Kai has effectively retired from streaming and will not be hitting any new subscriber milestones on Twitch.

He doubles down by saying Kai is a “star now” and suggests the content creator is focused on landing roles in movies rather than grinding daily streams.

At the time of writing on TwitchTracker, you can see a steady decline in Kai’s sub count. Between Dec. 13, 2025 to Jan. 13, 2026, Kai lost a total of 12,361 subscribers, and the trend has been declining ever since he achieved an all-time peak of 1,112,947 subs back in September 2025.

The clip quickly spread across social platforms, with fans split on whether YourRAGE was leaking real information or just exaggerating for entertainment. Some viewers have pointed out that rumors about Kai stepping away have been circulating for months, particularly as he has leaned further into mainstream projects and acting opportunities.

YourRAGE’s comments arrive on top of earlier speculation that Kai might scale back or even retire from full-time streaming after hitting historic milestones on Twitch. Multiple creators and fan pages have highlighted his growing focus on acting and bigger media moves, fueling the idea that he is preparing a long-term transition away from traditional livestreaming.

Despite the wave of reactions, Kai Cenat has not issued a clear public statement confirming a permanent retirement from streaming. For now, fans are left reading between the lines of clips like YourRAGE’s, wondering whether one of Twitch’s biggest names has quietly closed a chapter to chase the big screen.
