If you have a Medicare Advantage or Medicare drug plan, one piece of mail that arrived in September deserves another look before you toss it into a drawer. It’s called the Annual Notice of Change, or ANOC, and it tells you how your current plan will change when the new year begins. According to Medicare, plans send this notice each fall to explain upcoming changes in costs, coverage, and other plan details. With Medicare Open Enrollment running from October 15 through December 7, your Medicare Annual Notice of Change can help you decide whether staying put will still make financial and medical sense in 2027. Here’s what to look for before assuming the plan you liked this year is still your best choice.
