“I went to a pizza place with my friend and for some reason we thought it was hilarious they had one called The Big Pig,” Jessica Smyth aka Biig Piig tells me, recalling the meat feast she ordered one sloppy night out that resulted in her stage name.
“It just kind of became a running joke. We got home and had it and got really ill from it. Then when I put things on SoundCloud, I didn’t want anyone to know who I was so I put the name. It’s not very traditionally pretty or anything which I like because it doesn’t put any pressure on me to be a certain way.”
