Police are searching for a man after a young woman was 'persistently followed and harassed' outside a supermarket in Cheetham Hill.
The incident happened on Thomas Street at around 6pm on Friday, August 5, police said. The 21-year-old victim was harassed outside a shop on the road.
A member of the public challenged the man, who then left the scene in a black Vauxhall Corsa. Officers have now released a picture of man they want to identify and speak to after the incident.
The photo was shared on the GMP Manchester North Facebook page this morning. An officer wrote: "#APPEAL | Police are appealing to the public for further information regarding the harassment of a 21-year-old woman in #CheethamHill.
"At around 6pm on Friday 5 August 2022, a 21-year-old female was persistently followed and harassed by a male outside a supermarket on Thomas Street in Cheetham Hill. When a member of the public challenged the male, the male left the scene in Black Vauxhall Corsa.
"We would like to identify and speak to the male in the photo regarding this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident or recognises the male in the image, should contact us on 0161 856 6184 or 101 quoting incident 2493 of 05/08/2022
