Young Welsh rugby side score the perfect team try

Abercwmboi under 12s scored a marvellous team try, which saw quick offloading, ball-juggling, side-stepping and all out running rugby.

The try was scored against Llandaff, and starts out with Abercwmboi situated roughly on the halfway line. The players move the ball quickly through the hands out towards the right flank before one player pirouettes completely and cuts a line back inside.

The player produces an impressive step inside, using a drop of the shoulder to deceive defenders. Before being tackled he offloads in-field to a team-mate who gets tackled, but shifts the ball on as he hits the deck.

The ball changes hands five times, with the final player on the ball having completed a massive lopping run around the attacking line in the process. He steps back inside from the left flank, jinking past six players before moving the ball on again.

His pass deftly touches a team mate's arm, but is expertly collected by Lewis Penney, who juggles remarkably well and uses his pace to beat the last man. The effort is the perfect example of rugby teamwork.

Father of the try-scorer, Alan, explained: "It was a lovely team try by our Abercwmboi RFC u12s. Starting from the back going through 11 sets of hands, our forwards getting involved, to a bit of juggling by Lewis Penney at the end to go over for a well worked team try."
