Ospreys youngster Tiaan Thomas-Wheeler is eyeing a potential move to Japan.
The talented centre, whose try helped Wales to a famous win over New Zealand in the U20 World Championship in 2019, has still to tie up a few loose ends before any switch can become reality.
But at least two clubs are said to be interested in securing his services and there is a very real prospect of the 23-year-old making the move, albeit the names of his would-be suitors have yet to be revealed.

Any switch would be a bold one for the former Trebanos player who partnered Max Llewellyn in midfield at the global U20 tournament four years ago in a side that contained Dewi Lake, Jac Morgan and Tommy Reffell.
The 6ft 3in, 15st 7lb Thomas-Wheeler caught the eye during the competition in Argentina.
Indeed, it was his hack-and-chase that helped secure the touchdown that helped Wales U20 defeat the Baby Blacks 8-7 in Rosario.
The youngster from Neath has 58 appearances for his home region and stood out when they defeated Zebre in Italy recently.
But with George North, Keiran Williams, Joe Hawkins, Owen Watkin and Mike Collins the Ospreys also boast depth in midfield.
Nonetheless, Thomas-Wheeler is rated as a young player with much to offer.
In 2019, he was one of four youngsters invited to train with Wales by Wayne Pivac as potential stars of tomorrow, with the group including Dewi Lake and Kieran Hardy.
A stint in Japan would offer a different experience at a time of huge turbulence in Welsh rugby.
