Young Scots footballer in tears after man made racist 'monkey gestures' during game

A young Scots boy was left in tears after being racially abused by a fan while he was playing football. Lucas Macdonald, 13, was playing in a game between Edinburgh City 2009s and Currie Star 2009’s at Malleny Park in Balerno on Sunday, August 21.

During the last ten minutes of the match, it is alleged than a man made monkey gestures to the young player from the touchline. Fuming dad Jamie Macgregor, from the Gyle, said his son is broken following the incident which has now been reported to Police Scotland.
