Young people are not “shirkers and snowflakes”, the Work and Pensions Secretary has said amid a youth unemployment crisis sweeping London.
Pat McFadden told the Standard that the number of 16 to 24-year-olds unable to find jobs was a “challenge” for the government, adding that he does not want to see “young people leaving education and going on to a life on benefits”.
