Young mum tragically dies after taking cocaine in 'one off' decision on night out

A "bubbly and popular" mum tragically died after taking cocaine in a "one-off" decision on a night out. Holly Dakin passed away in her sleep following a "sudden cardiac event", an inquest into her death heard.

A coroner ruled that her sudden passing was "drug related" and the result of a possible underlying cardiac-related disease. The heartbreaking news came as a shock to her mum and dad Robert and Rosemary Dakin, who described their daughter as "everyone's fun friend".

They attended the Nottingham inquest with Holly's boyfriend and close friends, and said "all of us didn't have a clue". Paying tribute to the mum-of-four, Mr Dakin said: "She was bubbly and everyone's fun friend. She was popular.
