A young Irish man from Co Laois tragically lost his life over the weekend in Greece.
The 22-year-old, from Cullohill, a small village in the county, is said to have died following a drowning incident in the Balkan nation over the weekend.
It is understood that the young man, who has not yet been named at the time of publication, is reported to have been found unresponsive in a swimming pool by his friends in the country.

It is believed that the Laois native had also been in Greece for the purpose of working for a month when the tragic incident took place. RTÉ has reported that the man was from a well-known family who own a "prominent business" in Urlingford, Co Kilkenny.
The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it was both aware of the case and is providing "consular assistance" to the family.
