One of the most anticipated events at Paris Fashion Week was the debut of Seán McGirr as the new creative director of Alexander McQueen. McGirr, a young Irish designer, showcased his first womenswear collection for the brand's autumn/winter 2024 season, drawing comparisons to the renowned designer Jonathan Anderson of Loewe.
Having previously worked at JW Anderson, McGirr succeeded Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen in October 2023. His debut collection, titled 'Manifesto,' was presented in an unconventional setting at the Segro Centre Paris Les Gobelins, reflecting McQueen's penchant for provocative show locations.
