A child remains in hospital recovering after being knocked down by a car in Rutherglen.

Police have now confirmed the male driver of the car has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 2.50 pm on Thursday, 2 June, 2022, officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and two female pedestrians on Croftfoot Road, Rutherglen.
