A tragic young dad has been laid to rest as his distraught family and friends say an emotional farewell to the "family man" and devoted father.
Dad-of-three Peter Mullen, 30, died after a disturbance outside the Omni Centre in Leith Street on June 2. Mourners gathered at St Mary's Cathedral on York Place to say their final emotional goodbyes on Friday afternoon to the Celtic fan.

Relatives wearing bright green, many with white ribbons and a small green shamrock pin, gathered outside the huge cathedral shortly after midday.
Father Ninian Doohan led the service at St Mary's on York Place and told how the young dad devoted his life to his family and loved the Hoops - even nicknaming himself after Celtic legend Pierre van Hooijdonk.
Through Father Doohan, the heartbroken family shared with mourners that Peter was a family man who adored his three kids. He was a beloved dad, son and grandson who was close with his siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and wider family.
Tragically Peter leaves his fiancée Bethan Weekley who he planned to marry in St Mary’s after they got engaged in 2021.
The family said: "We would like to thank you for your support and attendance here today. We would also like to say a special thank you to Father Ninian Doohan for this support at this most difficult time."
Father Ninian Doohan shared an insight into the wonderful life Peter led after spending time with his family and told the cathedral: "He was a quiet man who was always the one who kept the peace.
"But he also shared a childlike magic of being forever young like Peter Pan which is why he got on so well with children.
"At the start of this year, they were able to go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland Paris in one of the last holidays they’d enjoy together as a family which was an amazing surprise for his children.
"They also enjoyed many trips to Blackpool and Scarborough."
The Father also told how Peter loved Celtic FC but didn’t mind watching Hibs or sneaking into games when Celtic wasn’t playing and that a special do to celebrate Peter's life and share memories will be held at the Hibs Supporter's Club later on Friday.
Dozens, including Peter's three children, wore Celtic tops in memory of the passionate football fan who spent a huge amount of time at games and was a previous member of the Leith Celtic Supporters Club (CSC) with sister Ashleigh and dad Peter.

Heartbreaking notes from his children, parents and siblings were stuck on the floral tributes with one reading: "To daddy, we miss you so much and will love you forever."
The Leith Celtic Supports Club paid tribute to the fan and wrote: "Peter Mullen was a loving caring happy young man who loved the Celtic and frequented the bus many times with his dad also Peter and his sister Ashleigh.
"He will be deeply missed by all his loving family and friends."
