A young driver is seriously injured following a horror crash on the Isle of Skye.
A blue Suzuki Swift careered off the A87 at Varigill, south of Portree just after 1.30pm on Thursday.
The driver, 27, was seriously injured and rushed to Raigmore Hospital.
As of Friday afternoon the man was still in hospital.
His current medical c ondition was not disclosed by police.
Mercy crews closed the round for six hours while police launched a probe into what caused the crash.
Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are urged to come forward.
Sergeant Neil MacDonald said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the Suzuki Swift traveling on the A87 prior to the incident to please get in touch.
“We are also keen to speak with motorists who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time in question.
“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call 101, quoting incident 1602 of March 24.”
