A young constable killed in a horror crash and two officers shot dead by a now-infamous fugitive have been remembered on a day of police mourning.
Mia Lay, 20, was honoured on National Police Remembrance Day alongside two Victorian colleagues more than a year after they were killed by Dezi Freeman at a rural property.
