A young child has died after being hit by a car in Melbourne's southeast.
Police were called to Arrino Crescent in Hallam at 5pm on Sunday following reports a car and a pedestrian had collided.
Emergency services arrived quickly but the young child could not be revived.
Police said the driver of the car stopped at the scene.
An investigation into the crash continues.
