A young professional has sparked an online discussion after sharing a conversation with his manager about buying a Rs 1.5 crore flat in Bengaluru, raising questions about why many people choose expensive apartments in the city instead of larger independent homes elsewhere.
The techie said his manager had recently purchased a flat in a gated community. After a team lunch, while being dropped home, he asked why the manager had not used the same amount to build a much larger independent house in his hometown.
