You star Penn Badgley makes hilarious TikTok debut as he channels his inner Joe Goldberg

Penn Badgley has made his TikTok debut by transforming into his murderous character Joe Goldberg from the hit Netflix series You.

The 35-year-old actor joined the popular social media platform on Monday to take part in Taylor Swift 's Anti-Hero challenge, where he lip-synced to lyrics from her new song.

In the video Penn runs through an apartment to answer the door, only to come face-to-face with another version of himself dressed up as Joe in a baseball cap and dark jacket.

"It's me. Hi. I'm the problem it's me," Penn lip-synced in the brief eight-second clip.

The TikTok has already had more than 99k likes and gained attention from Taylor herself, who commented: "OMG!!!!" and added a star eyes emoji.

The psychological thriller follows serial killer Joe Goldberg as he falls in love and develops extreme obsessions with different women.

A trailer for the upcoming fourth season confirms that Joe has moved to London, having previously been based in New York and Los Angeles.

The upcoming episodes are scheduled for release in two parts, with part one coming to screens on February 10, 2023 and the second batch on March 10, 2023.

You showrunner Sera Gamble teased in an E! News interview that Joe could be in a lot more trouble in Season 4.

"What’s a completely different kind of environment to put him in? And then also, what haven’t we done that could potentially get him into lots of trouble," she said.

Penn will be joined by returning cast members Tati Gabrielle, Charlotte Ritchie and Lukas Gage for the new season.
