Nigel Owens was caught out "hook, line and sinker" after Jonathan Davies prank called him live on radio.
Owens was presenting his usual Friday morning Six Nations breakfast show on BBC Radio Wales, which Davies himself has previously presented, when a call came through from a man named 'John' from Coryton.
After some brief introductions, Owens asked the caller if he had any views or questions he wanted to share ahead of the final Six Nations weekend.
But, instead of talking rugby, the caller asked Owens: "How do you feel when someone steals a friend's show on the radio? How would you feel?"
The call drew roaring laughter from Owens, but he still didn't realise it was Jiffy on the line, saying: "Listen now, John. When things get better and the show improves it is worth doing it!"
Jiffy responded by saying: "Have you checked the listening figures, I don't think that's the case."
Owens told him they had actually gone up, prompting Davies to say: "You have no shame, Nigel Owens. You portray this nice man image and yet you stab your friends in the back."
Still not realising who he was talking to, Owens said: "Jiffy is going to love this, John. I bet you he is going to love this. Thanks very much for phoning in."
An exasperated Davies said: "It is Jiffy you clown!"
Cue much laughter.
