With a new year comes the return of yet another blockbuster show landing on Netflix, as You returns to the platform for its fourth season. The hit psychological thriller – based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name – has proved a huge hit for the streaming giant.
Each season follows bookstore manager Joe Goldberg as he becomes infatuated with a new woman. The dangerously charming Joe uses the internet and social media to gather the most intimate details of his prey to feed a growing and toxic obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle – and person – in his way.
Following the events of season three, Joe is now in London and masquerading as a university professor by the name Jonathan Moore. Penn Badgley returns in the lead role alongside newcomers to the series Tati Gabrielle, Charlotte Ritchie, Lukas Gage and Ed Speleers.
The show has proved another winner for Netflix and has attracted a dedicated and enormous following since its first season. Season three spent four weeks at the top of Netflix’s global most-watched list when it launched in October 2021, during which time it was watched for almost 450m hours.
Now the hotly anticipated series is less than a month away, as Netflix has confirmed its launch date. Netflix has confirmed season four of You will be released in two parts.
Episodes one to five will be available to stream in the UK from Thursday, February 9 at 8am. Episodes six to ten will follow on Thursday, March 9 at 8am.
