'You're imposters': Liam Gallagher slams fans who brand Wembley performance 'terrible'

Liam Gallagher has slammed fans who branded his performance at the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match “terrible”.

Some fans of the Oasis frontman threatened to sell tickets to the band’s upcoming tour after criticising his singing at Wembley stadium.

But in a post on X, the rockstar said: “To all those S******** who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans your (sic) just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts nxt year any way.”

He later shared a postcard featuring a piece of art depicting a bird perched on a branch, with the caption: “You will not stop me from singing my song… I will sing it forever.”

Gallagher performed several Oasis hits at Wembley, including Supersonic and Rock ‘n’ Roll Star.

One fan wrote on X: “Glad I never got Oasis tickets after hearing that Liam Gallagher performance.”

Another said: “Listening to Liam Gallagher at the boxing makes me grateful and thankful that I missed out on Oasis tickets.”

Liam confirmed his sensational reunion with his brother Noel last month, announcing a series of dates in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

The last time brothers Noel and Liam performed together was on August 22, 2009 at V Festival in Staffordshire.

Noel quit Oasis six days later saying he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer” after a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in France.

Among the famous faces ringside on Saturday were former heavyweight world boxing champion Tyson Fury, Irish boxer Conor McGregor, former boxer Ricky Hatton, Spice Girl Emma Bunton and Love Island presenter Maya Jama.

Liam came on to a massive cheer and and said “yes Wembley vibes in the air”, during his performance as the warm-up to the main event, in front of a record-breaking 96,000 crowd.
