Romero birthed our modern cultural understanding of the gruesome concept with Night of the Living Dead in the late ‘60s, he and other like-minded individuals continued to fine-tune flesh-eating throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s until the genre languished in disinterest during the ‘90s.
