"You could see everything": Shocked passengers claim they saw couple performing 'sex act' on busy tram

Shocked passengers have claimed a woman was seen 'performing a sex act' on a man on board a busy tram over the weekend.

The incident is said to have taken place on the Manchester to Bury Metrolink line at Sunday lunchtime (December 4). Metrolink said it has been made aware of reports of the incident and is looking into the matter.

Passengers on board the tram at the time said the couple disembarked at the Besses o'th Barn stop at around 12.15pm.

Leiko Daiichi said he became aware of the incident in the carriage after other passengers started shouting at the couple.

“There was a woman performing a sex act on a man,” Leiko, 25, told the M.E.N. “You could see everything, his pants were fully down. I actually didn't notice right away until others around me started to make a fuss.

“One old woman was in shock. Passengers were going mad saying ‘that's absolutely disgusting’ to them. It was very weird, they didn't care at all and they didn't even try to hide what they were doing.”

Another passenger, who just gave their name as Andrew, told the M.E.N there were other people on board the carriage at the time of the incident. They claimed the man still had his ‘pants down’ whilst departing the tram.

“The man was flashing everyone when leaving the tram,” Andrew said. “At least 12 people saw it and afterwards they were all talking about how shocking it was. One pensioner reported it to the driver when we arrived at Bury. One man said: ‘If I had my kids with me, I would've knocked him out’.”

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said it was investigating the alleged incident.

A TfGM spokesperson said: “TfGM has been made aware of the alleged incident and will be reviewing CCTV footage with the Metrolink Operator and Greater Manchester Police.”
