Brits could get up to £350-a-year off their energy bills if they back a wind farm being built nearby under a new scheme being looked at by ministers.
The Government is considering offering lower energy bills to encourage locals to support construction of onshore wind turbines.
The idea was first touted as part of Boris Johnson's energy security strategy earlier this year, which aims to secure the UK's energy supplies and slash dependancy on Russian oil and gas.
