Soap fans have seen their regular schedules thrown into chaos as the World Cup gets under way. With matches taking priority over the usual time slots many were wondering when they'd be able to see their favourite shows.
Now the BBC and ITV have given viewers a surprise by making tonight's episodes available now. Tonight's episodes of EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street are all available to watch now.
With the World Cup running until December 8 and being aired on both BBC and ITV regular programmes are seeing their shows shifted around. EastEnders usual broadcasts Monday to Thursday evenings at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Emmerdale usually airs at 7.30pm, Monday to Thursday, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. This is followed by Coronation Street at 8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with hour-long editions.
However from tonight the Beeb and ITV had said the soaps would be shown in hour-long episodes on different nights. But now anyone going to iPlayer will be able to see tonight's episode of Eastenders now.
And for fans of Corrie or Emmerdale they will find this weeks episodes also available early. And the ITVX site for both soaps goes further stating: "As the World Cup kicks off, catch all this week's episodes now!"
