The Liberty will have their work cut out for them, with the reigning WNBA champion Aces boasting a perfect 7–0 home record to start the season. New York’s 4–1 road run will be put to the test, as the Liberty make the cross-country trek to Las Vegas fresh off a Tuesday trip to Uncasville, Conn., where the team meets the No. 2 ranked Sun. Las Vegas fans are known to show up as well, with the club holding the third-largest attendance record (8,707) for the 2023 season, per Across the Timeline.
Expect Thursday’s matchup to be explosive, as the two teams stand atop the league’s offensive rankings (Las Vegas at No. 1 with a 113 ranking and the Liberty at No. 2 at 107.3). The contest also features four All-Star starters, previewing the All-Star Game, which will also be hosted by Las Vegas.
