You can visit Jill Scott's coffee shop – and the Lioness might even serve you herself

One of the things Lioness Jill Scott missed most while in the I'm A Celebrity jungle wasn't watching or playing football – it was drinking coffee.

To no surprise, the Queen of the Jungle said the first thing she would be drinking after coming out would be a flat white. The 35-year-old former professional footballer loves coffee so much she even opened her own café with her partner Shelly during lockdown, in April 2021.

Jill says she has "always loved coffee, travelling around with football, and it started to get to the point where if I had a bad coffee to start the day, I would have a bad day so coffee has become very important in my life."

Jill and her fiancée regularly work in the café together, so if you drop in you just might spot the I'm A Celeb star, who is best known for winning the Euros with the England women team earlier in the year.

Named Boxx2Boxx, because of the "box-to-box midfield,", which means players who are good at attacking and defending. The former Manchester City midfielder thought the themed-name might help "entice some of the players down".

On the coffee shop website, Jill revealed: "It just all happened so quickly. Even now, I have to pinch myself, like 'as if we have our own coffee shop!".

Speaking about the backstory of her coffee shop on I'm A Celebrity, Jill explained that Shelly was "helping out in a coffee shop in lockdown and we decided to get the shop".

Fellow finalist Owen Warner told the Bush Telegraph: "Can you imagine walking into a coffee shop and the Lioness Jill Scott is making you an ice cold latte?".

Located in Northenden, Manchester, the coffee shop has a dedicated area to photos of famous faces who have popped in for a coffee.

If you stop by, you'll find the usual hot and iced drinks offerings you could expect from a café such as espresso, flat white, latte and mocha, but also milkshakes, cookies, croissants, cakes and paninis.

They also have weekly events, such as free coffee for the Wednesday Walking Group at 11am, and they have previously had board game nights.

If you fancy popping in, keep in mind that it's closed on Mondays, and open 9am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Guests have praised the "friendly service" and "great coffee". One customer said in a positive review: "Such a lovely café. Beautifully decorated and such a nice atmosphere. Flat white hit the spot for me and my date enjoyed vehicle watching and chatting to the super friendly staff – highly recommend!"

Boxx2Boxx is located on 375 Palatine Road, Northenden, Manchester M22 4FY.
