You can support charity CALM by eating at Pieminister

Pieminister is raising funds and awareness for suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) with a new fundraising pie feast called It’s All Gravy. It’s All Gravy is a pie from Pieminister’s range served with fries, Cheddar cheese, crispy onions, and bottomless gravy.

To opt for the vegan version, have a plant-based pie and switch the Cheddar for vegan cheese. £1 from every It’s All Gravy feast sold will go direct to CALM. Plus, 20p from every sale of Pieminister’s 5% lager will also go to the rcharity.

Pieminister’s It’s All Gravy is available at its nine largest restaurants nationwide until early September. And their vegan 5% lager, brewed for Pieminister by Freedom Brewery is a permanent fixture in most of Pieminister’s restaurants and smaller cafes. You can find your nearest It’s All Gravy feast and learn more about CALM and its partnership with Pieminister here.

CALM’s free, confidential helpline answered over 157,000 calls and chats from people struggling last year. The money raised through Pieminister’s partnership will help CALM continue this life saving work. Jon Simon, Pieminister Co-founder and MD said: “At a time when many of us are struggling with life’s challenges in one way or another we’re really pleased to be partnering with CALM. While raising thousands to fund their vital work, we’ll also use every platform we have to tell as many people as possible that CALM is there for them, should they need it.

"There’s never been a better time for us to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Campaign Against Living Miserably. And as pie, chips and gravy is the definition of comfort food, it’s apt that we’re using It’s All Gravy to support CALM’s work. This feast ticks all the boxes; delicious pie, crispy fries and onions, melty cheese and as much gravy as you can handle; eating one of these has be one of the tastiest, most uplifting ways to back a good cause”.

If you’re struggling, talk to CALM on 0800 58 58 58 (UK) or through their webchat. Their trained support workers are available from 5pm to midnight, 365 days a year to provide practical support and advice, whatever you’re going through. To find out more visit www.thecalmzone.net
