Expect to go on a journey where the kids of Heartbreak High “raw-dog reality — catch feelings, have their hearts broken, lose their friends, get laid, learn to orgasm, ride the ferris wheel of hormones, get high, get too high… There will be love triangles. There will be love squares. There will be threesomes. There will be sneaking out, and breaking in. There will be STIs and UTIs and TMIs.”
OK, I’m sold. Now let’s talk shop. The pop-up Heartbreak High Uniform Shop is set up to encourage folks to be “anything but uniform,” and will run in Sydney’s Newtown on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 (from 10am – 6pm).

That’s right — everyone who visits will score a free piece of thrifted clothing or an accessory, but these aren’t your regular thrift store fare, each item will be carefully chosen by a Netflix stylist to reflect the various personalities and styles of Heartbreak High’s characters. A true eclectic mix of aesthetics and hidden gems, if you will.
But that’s not all folks, far from. Everyone has an awkward school photo they wish they could burn but your parents insist on hanging prominently in the living room — well, here’s your chance to make things right cos there’ll be a fashion photographer on the day snapping school photos you’ll actually want. Lovely.
This all sounds fun, but as with all of these things, expect a line — annoying news in normal circumstances, but this ain’t no ordinary line folks — there will be an artist on both days dishing out Heartbreak High-inspired semi-permanent tattoos for people waiting in line (first in first serve xoxo). And don’t worry about mum freaking out, they’ll only last for a couple of weeks.
Heartbreak High drops exclusively on Netflix Wednesday 14th Sept, 7pm. Catch the Heartbreak High Uniform Shop on Sat 17th & Sun 18th September from 10am – 6pm, 520 King St, Newtown, Sydney.
In the show, the students of are free to be authentic and express themselves through style.
