Holidaymakers can now book a rental car through the Uber app.
British Uber users will be able to pick up a rental car in the UK, as well as Spain, Portugal, Italy, US and Switzerland. There will be an option to pick up the car on their chosen date at one of the hundreds of participating locations, after booking it on the app.
The new scheme, which works with vehicle rental firm CarTrawler, allows users to rent a vehicle just moments before they need to get in.
