Amazon’s Kindle E-Reader has come a long way since it first dropped in 2007, and for Prime Day 2023, you can score the latest edition—the Kindle 2022—for the lowest price ever. Yes, you can get a Kindle for just $65 flat if you’re a Prime member. Not to mention, you also get free shipping.

At just 0.3 lbs and with a sharp 6-inch display, you can take books anywhere without getting weighed down. Whether you need a larger display or more advanced features like waterproofing, Amazon discounted the entire Kindle lineup. From the Paperwhite to the Scribe, everything is on sale.

Our Pick: Kindle 2022, $65 (was $100) at Amazon

Jason Cipriani/TheStreet

The entry-level Kindle was already affordable at $100, but at 35% off for just $65, it’s a pretty unbeatable price. It’s ultra-portable and easy to hold with just one hand, but where it really impresses is with the display. The Kindle still features an e-ink display like any e-reader, but it’s a 6-inch high-resolution screen with 300 pixels per inch. That makes the text super crisp and easy to read in almost any condition, plus it is backlit via an adjustable light. You’ll have plenty of room for storing books with 16GB of storage, and Amazon (AMZN) -) says it can last for up to six weeks on a full charge. Thankfully, it features a USB-C port for easy recharging as well.

If you’re sold, the last decision is to choose either Denim or Black, and then head over to Amazon to score it for $65 before Prime Day wraps tonight when the clock strikes 12 a.m. PT. You can also save on the Kindle Kids Edition, which takes the same hardware as the standard but pairs it with a two-year worry-free guarantee and a year of Amazon Kids+. It’s 38% off at $74.99 and comes in Ocean Explorer, Space Whale, or Unicorn Valley.

Kindle Paperwhite, $90 (was $140) at Amazon

Amazon

Whether you want to read at the beach or by the pool, the Kindle Paperwhite is likely your best bet. It is rated to the IPX8 standard for waterproofing and can survive for an hour in up to two meters of water and for three minutes in up to 0.25 meters of salt water. It also stretches the battery life to 10 weeks, and the screen is larger at 6.8 inches. Luckily, Amazon ensures it keeps a rich reading experience with 300 pixels per inch and a glare-free coating. For Prime Day 2023, it is 36% off at just $90 for Prime members.

You can also save on the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, which comes with 32GB of storage, wireless charging in addition to wired via USB-C, and a fancier backlit screen that will auto-adjust based on your environment. It is currently discounted to $125, 34% off the original price of $190.

Kindle Scribe, $255 (was $340) at Amazon

Jason Cipriani/TheStreet

The newest Kindle on the block is also down to the lowest price ever for Prime Day 2023. It’s currently just $255 for Prime Members, which equates to a massive $85 price cut. The Kindle Scribe starts with a 10.2-inch e-ink screen with 300 pixels per inch and an anti-glare coating. It’s great for reading and offers an expansive view, and it also comes with a Basic Pen as you can write with this Kindle. So whether you take the Scribe to class or work, you can jot down notes in digital journals. You can also use it to make lists, sketch, and even markup documents imported from the web or via Microsoft Word.

While you might question how much power that large screen requires, Amazon says it lasts for months for reading and weeks for writing.
